To Schedule a Briefing:
State Sponsored Life Insurance briefings are available annually at the unit level. The 30 minute briefing includes information on Servicemember Group Life Insurance (SGLI), Family Servicemember Group LIfe Insurance (F-SGLI), Traumatic Servicemember Group Life Insurance (T-SGLI), Veterans Group Life Insurance (VGLI) and State Sponsored Life Insurance (SSLI).
The State Sponsored Life Insurance program provides $1,000.00 of no cost coverage on all active members of the National Guard. During the annual briefings, Soldiers and Airmen will need to designate a beneficiary for this benefit.
At the conclusion of the briefing, members may enroll in additional coverage available under the State Sponsored Life Insurance program. They may also initiate changes to existing coverage to include modifying coverage, changing a beneficiary, updating an address, or adding a dependent.
